JEE Advanced 2019

The JEE Advanced Application form will be available from May 2019. This is a National level Entrance Examination which is held online. The Examination comprises of two papers (Paper I and II) and offers admission in IITs and other colleges in B.Tech, Master’s, and Dual Programmes. The JEE Advanced is the second exam which is held after JEE Main. Every year, 14 to 15 lakhs of candidates apply for the examination. This is one of the toughest examination held in a year. The Official Dates have not been declared yet. In this article, we will provide you with complete details about the Entrance Examination that you need to know.

Major Changes in the Examination


l The Exam will be conducted online. For JEE Advanced, 2, 24, 000 Lacs qualified candidates will be eligible. This includes all the categories.

l The Application Fees of the Exam is increased due to GST.

Eligibility Criteria

  • l Indian Citizens/ POI/OCI and Foreign National Candidates are eligible to apply. 
  • l The Applicants should be born on or after 1st October 1994. 
  • l 5 years of age relaxation is applicable for the Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST and PH) 
  • l Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced maximum two times in a consecutive year. 

Application Form

The Online Application Form of JEE Advanced 2019 will be released on the first week of May 2019. The Mode of the Application Form is done online only. The closing date of the application form is the second week of May 2019. Candidates have to provide their Personal, Educational/Academic and Other details. They also have to provide exam city preference as well.

After filling all the details, candidates have to upload photograph, signature and other documents. After the completion of all the details make the application fees payment and submit the application form. Do not forget to take the printout of the application form. The authority will not provide any Correction Facility in the application.

Application/Registration Fees of JEE Advanced (in India)

  • l The Registration Fee for Female Candidates of all the categories is Rs 1300/- + GST 
  • l The Registration Fees for Reserved Category Candidates is Rs 1300/- + GST 
  • l The Registration Fees for all the category candidates is Rs 2600/- +GST 

Application/Registration Fees of JEE Advanced (in Foreign Countries)

  • l The Registration Fees for candidates of SAARC Countries is USD 160 + GST 
  • l The Registration Fees for candidates of Non-SAARC Countries is USD 300 +GST 

Admit Card


The Admit Card of JEE Advanced will be available online on the official website of JEE. The Admit Card will be released on the 3rd week of May 2019. The Admit Card is a mandatory document as it contains all the details and information about the Examination and the candidate. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Advanced Admit Card by entering their Registration ID and Date of Birth. Applicants have to carry a valid Photo Identity proof along with the Hall Ticket. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall without an Admit Card.

Exam Pattern

The Exam will be conducted online and will comprise of two papers - Paper I and II. Both the papers are mandatory to attempt. The total time duration of the examination is 3 Hours. Extra Time is given to the PWD Candidates. The Exam will be conducted in two shifts- Shift I and II. The Paper I will be held in Shift I from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the Paper II will be held in Shift II from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm. The format of the questions is objective and there is negative marking for every wrong answer. The Exam will be conducted in both English and Hindi.

Result of JEE Advanced

The Result will be declared online only in second week of June 2019. Category-wise All India Rank of the candidates will be declared online. Candidates will be notified on their Registered Mobile Number and E-mail Number by Authority. Candidates can check their result by submitting their Registered Mobile Number and Date of birth.

The JEE Advanced is known to be one of the toughest examination held in the country. Every year 14 to 15 Lakh candidates apply for this entrance examination. This examination offers admission in IIT Colleges ad other Colleges for B.Tech and other Graduate Programmes. The Application Form will be released on the first week of May 2019. Candidates are advised to fill the application form before the last date of the registration.
