JEE Main Counseling and Seat Allotment 2020

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the JEE Main Counseling and Seat Allotment for those candidates who have qualified the NTA JEE Main 2020. The Counseling and Seat Allotment procedure will start from third week of June 2020. To participate in the NTA JEE Main 2020 Counseling and Seat Allotment Procedure, candidates have to register themselves first. The Counseling and the Seat Allotment procedure is conducted on the basis of the merit, seat availability and choice filling. In this article, we will provide the complete procedure of NTA JEE Main 2020 Counseling and Seat Allotment Procedure.


NTA JEE Main 2020 Counseling and Seat Allotment Procedure:

The NTA JEE Main Counselling 2020 and the Seat Allotment process involves the following steps:
Online Registration: Candidates have to register themselves online by providing their JEE Mains Roll Number and Password.

Online Choice Filling and Locking: Here, candidates have to fill and lock their choice of colleges and B. Tech Programs in order of their preferences as the seat allotment will be done on the same basis.

Seat Allotment: Here, the candidates will be alloted seats on the basis of the merit, choice filling and seat availability. Before the Seat Allotment procedure there will be mock allotment of seats which will take place in two rounds. The mock seat allotment procedure is just a trial procedure to give an idea to the candidates of how the seat allotment procedure works and this will help the candidates to chose better preferences in the main rounds.

Payment of Fees and Seat Acceptance: In the Seat Allotment Procedure, candidates have to choose any one of the following:

Freeze- If the candidate is satisfied with his/her seat allotment procedure and do not wish to participate in further seat allotment rounds. They can choose this option.

Float- In case, candidates want to keep the seat allotted and wish to upgrade their seat they can select this option.

Slide- Candidates can choose this option, if they accept the seat allotment and wish to upgrade the course in the same Institute.

Withdraw- This option is chosen when the candidates have already accepted the seat and want to withdraw the seat by reporting it to the Institute allotted before the last round of allotment.

Candidates can make the payment of the fees through SBI Net Banking/ e-Challan. The seat acceptance fee is Rs 45, 000/-. While the Reserved category candidates have to pay Rs 20, 000/- as the acceptance fees.

Document Verification: In this process, candidates have to get their documents verified at the Help Centers. The list of the documents that have to be verified by the candidates are as follows:
  • Three Passport Size Photographs (the same uploaded in the registration)
  • Provisional JoSAA seat Allotment Letter
  • Photo Identity Card
  • Proof of Seat Acceptance Fee Payment
  • JEE Main 2020 Admit card
  • Date of Birth Proof
  • JEE Main 2020 Score Card
  • Class XII Mark Sheet
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
Final Reporting to the Alloted Institute: After the Document Verification process, candidates have to report the Alloted Institute. Make the payment of the Balance Fees at the Institute.

NTA JEE Main 2019 Application Form Online Registration for JEE Main 2019


NTA JEE Main Application Form 2019 will be available on the official website of National Testing Agency. Candidates planning on giving JEE Main 2019 will be required to fill up the Application form and submit it before the due date. As per the announcement made by Ministry of Human Resource Development, the exam of JEE Main 2019 will beconducted by NTA and will be held twice in a year, in January and in April 2019. The Application form will be the first step for the admission  in engineering institutes through JEE main score. As per the new schedule by NTA, the Application Form will be released in September 2018 for JEE main (January 2019) and in February 2019 for JEE Main (April 2019).

Steps to Apply for NTA JEE Main 2019

Go through the steps of filling up the Application Form of NTA JEE Main 2019 successfully form the points below. It should be noted that the details mentioned in the Application form should be valid and correct as any of the misleading information will lead to the cancellation of the candidature. Step 1- Visit the official website of National Testing Agency i.e. nta.ac.in

Step 2- The link will be provided on the above corner of NTA Home page named NTA exams. Scroll down on the Engineering exam link from all the other options listed under NTA from the main page.

Step 3- Click on the Link named Joint Entrance Examination. The Registration Button is available on the page below. The Registration Button will be for the candidates visiting the portal for the first time and the Login button will be for the already registered candidates.

NTA JEE Main Application Fee 2019

The Application Fee for NTA JEE Main 2019  will remain unchanged. Candidates aspiring to fill up the form should note that the applications will be accepted only after the submission of the Application Fee. The amount of the application Fee hasn’t been updated yet but it will be updated soon by the examination condcuting body. Since the procedure of submitting the Application form will entirely online this year it can be assumed the submission of the fee will also be online through Credit Card, Debit Card and Net banking.

Documents Required for uploading for NTA JEE Main 2019:
  • Marksheets of Class 12th and class 10th.
  • Passport size Photograph.
  • Signature of both the camdidate and the guardian.
  • Adhaar Card.
  • Passport Size photograph
  • Category Statement (if applicable)

NTA Result 2019 Of Join Entrance Examination

The NTA will declare the results of JEE Main 2019 online. The NTA JEE Main Results will be declared separately for Paper-I and Paper-II.  Candidates can check their results by entering their Roll Number and Date of Birth. Through NTA JEE Main Results 2019, candidates will be able to check their results section-wise, All-India Rank wise and Category wise and through Cut-Off Score for JEE Advanced 2018.   1. Click on the NTA JEE Main 2019 link. (The link will get activated once the results are declared)
  2. Enter the JEE Main 2019 Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  3. Click on the Submit Button.
  4. The JEE Main 2019 will be displayed on the screen.
  5. You can see your JEE Main Score, All India Rank and Category Rank and Qualifying Status of JEE Main 2019.
  6. Use the Download button to access the JEE Main Score Card 2019.
  7. Download and take the printout of the JEE Main 2019 Results for future reference.

What do JEE Main 2018 Results carry?

The NTA JEE Main 2019 Results carries the following details:
  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll Number
  • Date of Birth of the candidate
